“L’eleganza di una vita: storia di un gentiluomo d’altri tempi”, così si intitola la performance che ha aperto ieri sera Pitti Immagine Uomo. Un omaggio con il quale la maison fiorentina ha presentato la nuova collezione Ferragamo’s Creations Uomo, che propone riedizioni dei modelli originali del maestro, realizzati negli anni Cinquanta: ritroviamo la fibbia “a farfalla”, il modello Prima (il preferito di Ferragamo), il mocassino Swing e Salvatore, un modello riproposto in omaggio a Andy Warhol, che lo indossava mentre creava le sue opere più importanti.

Per l’occasione si sono esibiti due artisti di eccezione per rendere omaggio alle radici campane di Ferragamo: l’attore Giancarlo Giannini ha letto dei brani dell’autobiografia “Il calzolaio dei sogni”, mentre Peppe Servillo ha interpretato un repertorio di canzoni partenopee, con l’accompagnamento del quartetto d’archi Solis String Quartet.

Gli ospiti (circa un centinaio) sono stati accolti a Palazzo Spini Feroni, sede storica dell’azienda sulla riva destra dell’Arno, e contavano personalità quali Agnese Renzi, il Presidente della Regione Toscana Enrico Rossi, Gaetano Marzotto, Raffaello Napoleone, Sibilla della Gherardesca, Bona Frescobaldi e Antonella Boralevi.

Compresa all’interno dell’evento anche una visita presso l’adiacente boutique uomo, sul Lungarno Acciaiuoli, dove un artigiano della maison ha sfoggiato per gli ospiti tutta la sua abilità e il suo savoir-faire, creando per loro una scarpa da uomo con cucitura a mano, declinata in diverse calzate com’è tradizione per il marchio: per Salvatore Ferragamo, infatti, creare scarpe che calzassero in maniera perfetta è sempre stata una priorità.

“The elegance of a life story of a gentleman of the past”, is the title of the performance that opened last night by Pitti Immagine Uomo. A tribute by which the Florentine fashion house presented its new collection Ferragamo’s Creations Man, featuring reissues of the original models of the teacher made in the fifties. One can find the buckle “Butterfly”, the model before (the favorite of Ferragamo), the moccasin Swing and Savior, a pattern repeated in homage to Andy Warhol, who wore it as he created his most important works.

For the occasion, two artists performed to pay homage to the roots of Ferragamo: the actor Giancarlo Giannini read the lyrics of the songs “Shoemaker of Dreams”, while Peppe Servillo played a repertoire of Neapolitan songs, alongside the accompaniment of the string quartet Solis String quartet.

Guests (about a hundred) were welcomed to Palazzo Spini Ferroni, headquarters of the company on the right bank of the Arno, and counted figures such as Agnes Renzi, President of the Tuscany Region Enrico Rossi, Gaetano Marzotto, Raffaello Napoleone, the Sibyl Gherardesca, Bona Frescobaldi, and Antonella Boralevi.

Also included within the event was a visit to the adjacent men’s boutique, on the Lungarno Acciaiuoli, where an artisan of the fashion house showed off for guests his skill and savoir-faire, creating for them a shoe for men with hand stitching, worn down into separates as is tradition for the brand.
