That is how Neil Patrick Harris opened the 87th Academy Awards 2015. The Hollywood actor and comedian opened the curtain with a touch of irony, alluding to the lack of black actor candidates for this edition.

A triumph is the Oscar for best film Birdman, Alejandro Gonzales Innaritu, winning awards for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and photography.

Best Actor award went to Eddie Redmayne in The Theory of Everything, wearing a navy tuxedo signed Alexander McQueen completed by papillon.

The beautiful Julianne Moore finally gets her first Oscar for Best Actress for the fantastic interpretation of a woman suffering from early Alzheimer’s in Still Alice. The actress looked beautiful in a white dress and Chanel Couture Chopard earrings.

Victory also for Patricia Arquette for Boyhood, parading in black and white in her Rosetta Getty for her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Same fate for J.K. Simmons, for Best Supporting Actor in Whiplash, who wore a bold Pharrell-style hat, accompanied by his wife Michelle Schumacher.

Among the other nominees of the evening we find in the category “Best Actor” Michael Keaton for Birdman , in an elegant black suit from Ralph Lauren.

Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) triumphed on the red carpet with a beautiful white tuxedo, accompanied by his wife Sophie, who despite expecting their first child, looked magnificent in an elegant red dress by Lanvin.

Italian tailoring for Steve Carell (Foxcatcher) wearing a Bruno Cucinelli and Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) who brings out the best in an elegant tuxedo by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Nomination for “Best Actress” for Reese Witherspoon (Wild) who sported a classic Tom Ford in black and white, combined with bright jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) parades in Givenchy Couture with an elegant red dress enhanced by refined Lorraine Schwartz earrings, while Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) dares with a white dress by Alexander McQueen which is much more flashy. White also for Marion Cotillard (Two days, one night) who appears beautiful in her Christian Dior Couture dress.

Among the nominees for Best Supporting Actor Edward Norton (Birdman), Mark Ruffalo (Foxcatcher) and Robert Duvall (The Judge) paraded in their elegant black tuxedos.

Same for Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) wearing a stylish suit signed Prada.

The breathtaking Emma Stone (Birdman), was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The actress wore a dress with slit by Elie Saab Couture, Christian Louboutin sandals and jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Is not far behind the nominee Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game) who dressed with great style and class in a dress by Valentino Couture and Chanel jewelry. Meryl Streep (Into The Woods), now a veteran of the awards show, wore a very fine and classic black and white dress signed Lanvin combined with a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Dress by Alberta Ferretti quite controversial one worn by Laura Dern (Wild), combined with a set of jewels signed Bulgari.

Among the guests of the evening there was definitely a winner of the ”Oscar for the best look “: Scarlett Johansson. The wonderful new mother wore a sensual Atelier Versace gown and sparkling emerald earring signed Piaget.

Also wonderful were Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston, wearing pink tones and calm, wearing clothes respectively from Ralph & Russo Couture and Atelier Versace.
