It seems that there is a pure competition between Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy. The first introduces the collection with its signature: the Y-cut on the breast, showing long dresses in leather or fabric that emphasize the waist. YSL plays with the white and the black creating a style almost vampiric. The second, however, used glossy black leather for its collection, making the woman a ruler of the night. The show looks dreary by using of colours like red, pink and orange for the subsequent exits and that leaves everyone speechless. The meeting point between the YSL and Givenchy show is in make up, because both stained blood red lips on the models.

Jean Paul Gaultier was inspired by another world indeed, in different worlds. In fact the style is casual and natural, but then becomes a New York’s graffiti style. In one fashion show there are a mix of cultures!

Sembra pura concorrenza quella tra Yves Saint Laurent e Givenchy. Il primo presenta la collezione con il suo segno di riconoscimento: il taglio a Y sul seno, mostrando lunghi abiti in pelle o in tessuto che sottolineano il punto vita. YSL gioca col bianco e il nero facendo sfilare uno stile quasi vampiresco. Il secondo, invece, utilizza della lucida pelle nera per la sua collezione rendendo la donna pura dominatrice della notte. Lo show sembra monotono ma, l’utilizzo dei colori come il rosso, il rosa e l’arancione per le uscite successive, lasciano tutti a bocca aperta. Il punto di incontro tra la sfilata di YSL e quella di Givenchy si ha nel make up, perchè entrambe colorano di rosso sangue le labbra delle modelle. 

Jean Paul Gaultier si ispira ad un altro mondo anzi, a vari mondi. Infatti si passa dallo stile casual e naturale a quello newyorkese e dell’arte dei graffiti in un’unica e sorprendente sfilata che diverte mostrando un mix di culture.
