La scorsa notte, Los Angeles ha visto un altro tappeto rosso pieno di celebs, questa volta in occasione dei SAG Awards, aka Screen Actors Guild, conosciuto ai più come il sindacato degli attori.

Ciò che contraddistingue questo evento dagli altri è la sua mancanza di formalità, una serata rilassata e divertente, con attori sempre in vena di battute e meno rigidi, un’altra atmosfera rispetto a i più rigidi e seriosi Oscar.

Ma essere informali non vuole dire certamente mancanza di stile, anzi: presso lo Shrine Exposition Center, star del calibro di Julia Roberts e Meryl Streep hanno guidato la parata di attrici e attori, entrambe in nero, entrambe sobrie ed eleganti, la prima in Givenchy, la seconda in un sofisticato Lanvin.

Non da meno le nominate Julianne Moore, in un abito verde smeraldo Givenchy che esaltava la chioma rossa dell’attrice, con gioielli Chopard, e Rosamund Pike, molto incinta e molto “ladylike” nel suo Christian Dior Haute Couture e i suoi gioielli firmati da Fred Leighton.

A Julianne vanno gli applausi per aver portato a casa il premio come miglior attrice, a Rosamund il merito di essere sempre perfetta e di saper perdere con grazia.

Tripudio dorato invece per Jennifer Aniston: l’eterna fidanzata d’America ha indossato un vintage John Galliano, una bella svolta per il designer che mancava da un po’ dai red carpet del mondo. Unico accessorio il fidanzato Justin Theroux: ognuno sceglie l’accessorio in base ai propri gusti.

L’altra fidanzatina d’America che sta entrando nel mondo degli “adulti” con film più seri è Reese Whiterspoon che, abbandonato il cliché di finta stupida sullo schermo, indossa i panni di una donna coraggiosa in Wild. Nomination per lei, e look firmato da Giorgio Armani: i cristalli che impreziosivano il suo vestito scintillavano ancor di più accanto ai gioielli firmati Harry Winston.

Lupita Nyong’o ha scoperto che la strategia vincente non si cambia, quindi punta di nuovo su un abito Elie Saab, ma fortunatamente varia modello, rimanendo fresca e chic come sempre.

Emma Stone decide di spezzare la solita monotonia del red capet, e lo fa con un insolito quanto elegante abito/giacca di Christian Dior Couture.

Coppia sexy del red capet era quella formata dai due belli della tv americana Joe Manganiello e Sofia Vergara: lei, fasciata in un abito Donna Karan, era in tinta col red carpet ma poco le importava: tutti i suoi sguardi erano per la meraviglia che aveva accanto. Last night, Los Angeles saw another red carpet full of celebs, this time at the SAG Awards, aka Screen Actors Guild Awards, known to most as the actors’ union.

What distinguishes this event from others is its lack of formality, a relaxed and fun evening, with players always in the mood for jokes and less rigid rules. It is a completely different atmosphere compared to the more rigid and staid Oscars.

Licentiousness certainly does not mean lack of style, on the contrary, at Shrine Exposition Center, stars like Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep have led the parade of actresses and actors, both in black, both simple and elegant, the first in Givenchy, the second in a sophisticated Lanvin.

Another talented star nominated was Julianne Moore, who wore an emerald green dress from Givenchy Haute Couture, highlighting her red hair, also with Chopard jewels. Rosamund Pike looked “very pregnant” and very ladylike in her Christian Dior Haute Couture and jewels signed by Fred Leighton. Julianne rang in the applause for bringing home the Best Actress award, and Rosamund knew how to lose gracefully.

Golden blaze instead to Jennifer Aniston: the eternal girlfriend of America wore a vintage John Galliano, a nice turn for the designer who was missing for a while from the red carpet of the world. Aniston’s only accessory was her boyfriend Justin Theroux: everyone chooses an accessory in accordance with their taste. America’s other sweetheart who is entering the world of “adult” film more seriously is Reese Witherspoon, who abandoned the fake stupidity on the screen with the role of a brave woman in “Wild”. It was a big nomination for her, and her look was designed by Giorgio Armani: crystals that adorned her dress sparkled even more next to jewelry designer Harry Winston.

Lupita Nyong’o found that winning strategy does not change, then bet again on a dress from Elie Saab, but fortunately it varies on the model, remaining cool and chic as ever. Emma Stone decided to break the monotony of her usual red carpet style, and does so with an unusual and elegant dress/jacket combination by Christian Dior Couture.
