An extraordinary event for the Foundation Louis Vuitton will be going on from April 1 to July 6, 2015; the exhibition “Les clefs d’une passion” will display the famous “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.

Even the Centre Pompidou, in 2011, did not have the honor of being able to have the famous work during the great retrospective dedicated to the undisputed master of Norwegian Expressionism.

The well-known portrait, painted in 1893, embodies the face of a man screaming, clutching his face in his hands and has a look of great existential angst.

Considered one of the most expensive masterpieces in the world, it was created by Munch in 5 versions, and the one coming to Paris is exposed to the Munch Museet in Oslo and which was stolen in 2004.

One of the versions was sold by Sotheby’s for 119.92 million dollars in 2012.

The artwork will be shown to the public together with a collection of fundamental works that have marked the twentieth century.
