Coming to an end is this year’s Women’s Fashion Week dedicated to the fall / winter 2015-16 collections. What are the collections that have left their mark?
Giuseppe Zanotti Design, as is traditional, breaks the mold and turns elegance and sophistication into a style that is unparalleled. The collection speaks of a refined woman, who never gives up to the charm of “respectability of yesteryear”, referring to the heraldic embroidery that alternates with luxurious jewelry, refined velvet, brocade fabrics and “texture/glitter.” Models undoubtedly feminine and intriguing stand on high heels but also mid-height & flats. This is the third millennium Aristocrazy signed Giuseppe Zanotti Design.
Angelos Bratis organizes an exclusive evening to present his Fall/Winter collection, from monochrome silhouettes devoid of excessive ornamentation. Wool crepe, silk crepe de chine, and viscose jersey declined in a minimal palette ranging from chestnut to magenta, through ivory, burgundy, red, and black. The amplitude and the malleability of the fabrics are embellished with handmade leather accessories with minimal structure.
Valextra offers a collection with pure lines, essential shapes and graphic cuts. Tadao Ando is represented by the composition of the bags Twist 1 and Twist 2. With references to the building of the University of Monterey by the Japanese, the graphic shapes mimic leather illusions of a concrete building. The contours of the bag house are a representation of the Firm Gormley David Chipperfield. The archetypal form of the house is used by the repetition and similarly synthesized in the structure of the bag. A rich collection of inspirations of a certain caliber showing the internationalization of the brand.
Gentucca Bini proposes his collection consisting of suits, shirts, jackets, worn again by his associates in the flesh.
This is the second collection of the project The Charm of the Uniform, the results are clothes whose elegance comes from their “utilitarian” origin. Every detail, the material, stitching, volumes,
are in harmony with each other to form functional objects.
The Fall Winter 2015-2016 collection from Corto Moltedo , represents a sincere dedication to conceptualism, both in terms of design and manufacturing. Stand out in the line shoulder bag clutch Priscilla and Limb in black calfskin. The common denominator sculptural emerges in new models, not least the clutch Lucky Seven and the new satchel Tiffany, united by a single strand: purity. This season the iconic Priscilla and Tiffany are the subject of a daring experiment of volumes, and are presented in two new variants mini size: the Priscillini and Tiffanini. Staying true to the DNA of the Maison, bright colors and precious ornaments provide the right counterbalance to the rigor of the forms.
