Once again the link between the world of film and fashion is confirmed.
The occasion is special because this is the new Disney movie Cinderella, inspired by the famous tale by Charles Perrault.
The new version of the classic animation was presented out of competition during the closing of the event Berlinale.
The protagonist of the film, directed by Kenneth Branagh, is the actress Lily James.
The fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo has created the footwear worn by the wicked stepmother Lady Tremaine, played by Cate Blanchett.
Thus, the collaboration between Massimiliano Giornetti, Ferragamo’s creative director, and costume designer and British designer Sandy Powell, has created a series of shoes that we will see throughout the film; pumps, brogues, and ankle boots that are the symbol of excellent craftsmanship.
But Cinderella, you know, is one of those stories that makes you dream and create inspiration in women of all ages. So, in the spirit of inspiration, Charlotte Olympia has also created some pieces in a limited edition.
It is a capsule collection that consists of four models, two décolleté, Shoe Fits and Happily ever after, and two clutches, Time Piece and a pumpkin.
The shoes are made using satin and blue silk, and of course, Swarovski crystals.
The clutches, one a clock stopped at midnight, and another which is pumpkin-shaped, two moments that are symbols reminiscent of the fairy tale.
