In closing the 65th edition of the Berlinale, the new version of the classic animated Disney “Cinderella” was presented, starring the beautiful Lily James.

The film, directed by Kenneth Branagh, remains true to the original with the carriage, mice, stepmother, and stepsisters.

Obviously inevitable is the glass slipper, enhanced by a myriad of Swarovski crystals. The iconic accessory, for the occasion, was recreated by a real professional, Sandy Powell, a famous British costume designer.

Lily James, stage name of Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson is a British actress, primarily known for her portrayal of a character in Downton Abbey, Lady Rose MacClare.

The designers compete to play this rather “precious” accessory and Charlotte Olympia is the proof. The fashion house, at the release of the film, has created a capsule collection of four models inspired by “Cinderella”.
