In a historic villa outside the fairgrounds of Baselworld, Louis Vuitton presents its novelties for Horologerie 2015.

The underlying driving force of the new LV proposals are, for the male proposals, the call to the world of travel while for women the clock gem, delicate and refined.

The models that are dedicated to women are Emprise, Tambour Monogram, and Chevron.

For the collection, Emprise remains the same 23 x 23 mm, the logo for hour 5, then it is the hallmark and the straps are leather and in harmony with the fantasies of Spring/Summer 2015 designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. Versions are available with the Epi strap, Epi denim or Malletage or with the strap in steel mesh.

As for the Tambour Monogram, the evolution for 2015 is its preciousness: a mother of pearl dial (model Bijou) or snow effect for models Bijou Rivière (studded with diamonds) and “Sun” Tourbillion presenting a winding movement LV80 and turbillion at the center of the dial. 

Finally, as an exceptional model is the Chevron , in only 8 pieces in a red and black version. Special features of this watch are white and black diamonds, in almost 2 carats, and an embedded quadrant forming a geometric pattern. The movement of this watch is quartz and the strap instead is lizard.

If the female Louis Vuitton plays on the preciousness of the materials used, the male version has complicated mechanisms to make the new collection from LV something truly exceptional, so that the line is divided in models Escale TimeZone and Escale Repetition Minutes Worldtime, ratified by the International Meridian Conference of 1884 and defined by Sir Stanford Fleming.

Special features of this timepiece is the ability to simultaneously read (and intuitively thanks to a small red hand) 24 time zones.

As for the Escale Time Zone, in addition to the automatic caliber LV 87, the dial is made ​​of steel and is distinguished by hand-painted pictograms that recall the world of the LV trunks.

Finally the most complex and fascinating watch, the Escale Repetition Minutes Worldtime that, in addition to having 24 time zones, has caliber LV 235 and count 447 members. It also has the opportunity, through a small movement of the crown to repeat the minutes of a city even when the wearer is in another country. The Escale Repetition Minutes Worldtime has a pink gold case of 18 kt and the center of the dial is made ​​of titanium.
