It ended yesterday; the Milan Fashion Week that has seen women’s collections for fall/winter 2015-16.
The leitmotiv of this last day is the concept of elegance that is transformed and modernized by the designers.
By Christian Pellizzari the inspirational theme of the collection is ballet. Then off to skirts with pleats, mini or maxi for evening wear. It is curious that Pellizzari has presented his collection in the old ballroom of the Palazzo Clerici in via Clerici in Milan where mirrors, putty and gold become a perfect backdrop for the clothes. “I wanted to play, as well as others, with the trend of the masculine/feminine,” said Christian to Quotidianomime.com “I like the idea of combining pieces of the male wardrobe to the female” continues the designer. The result is a collection of youth, extremely sexy but not vulgar and flows into soft and precious materials, in this case, does not take a back seat but are vital in enhancing the work of the young designer.
In the same direction, the young Mario Dice focuses on the sculptural and architectural side of the dress. A notable trend with his pieces are geometries on skirts, tops and, above all, evening dresses. The dominant colors are white and black, or are fused together as if to recreate a complicated tangle of colors and shapes or are being used individually, extolling (maybe more) manufacturing demi-couture gowns. Guest of honor at the parade Maria Grazia Cucinotta came out on the catwalk alongside Dice among a flurry of applause.
The young Mauro Gasperi, presents a more contemporary and conceptual collection and plays on contrasts between materials, cuts and colors. The whole is harmonious, clean and pleasant. Surely the jumpers as well as jackets attract younger audiences, as well as loads of contemporary verve. Delicious contrasts and blends of colors among which the union between pink, black and a touch of gray (must-have palette for the winter).
Dsquared2 , the brand led by Dean and Dan Caten, brings to the catwalk dresses, denim and accessories of different cultures and eras by combining all the main theme of the collection: the ethnic peoples of Canada. A collection that pays homage directly and indirectly to the ethnic and tribal grounds in a potpourri of colors, prints, cuts and styles. Few exits, many instead glamour cues from which to draw inspiration for their next winter look.
To conclude the fashion week is Giorgio Armani . For next season, King George crowns pants (a tube or with pleats) as the iconic item of the season by making the whole collection. Another key element for Armani is black that is combined with pink and blue lighting, as in a painting by Marc Chagall, the collection. Jackets then follow the pants, softening the lines, as if the suit is to become a second skin to spend the day in peace and harmony. After all, after forty years of career, what else can possibly be proven next?
