La collezione di Maxime Simoens è ispirata al film “Enter the Void” che si svolge a Tokio. Maxime omaggia il Giappone ispirandosi sì alle classiche forme dei Kimono, ma reinterpretandole in maniera moderna. I ricami sono all’avanguardia, molto belli e la loro particolarità consiste nel donare l’effetto mosaico sugli abiti su cui sono stati fatti. I colori utilizzati per questa collezione sono tantissimi e i capi creati dallo stilista sono veramente belli; non a caso, fra le sue clienti, vi è Beth Ditto e Beyoncè che, per la cover del suo album, ha scelto un vestito Maxime Simoens.

The Maxime Simoens couture show was inspired on the film “Enter the Void” that tooks place in Tokio; for this collectionthe designer made an homage to Japan. He inspired himself from the classic cuts of a Kimono, but he reproduced it in a modern way. The embroidery looks forward, because they give a mosaic-effect on the clothes. The colours of the collection are a lot and his clothes are really gorgeous, indeed, he wears Beth Ditto and Beyoncè who wears one of his clothes on the cover of her album.
