QUOTIDIANOMIME

To all of you who follow me every day, I wanted to thank you if my blog is slowly growing up and developing in various forms and under various aspects. In fact I wanted to announce that from the 17 to 22nd of April, MIME will follow at a distance, from Pisa, the Salone del mobile in Milan that, for several years now, brings shiny to our decadent Italy. From what I have always said family friends who work in the forniture area, to go to Milan for the show means to meet people, and famous architects and much more. All in a democratic way. This is the highlight of the Salone del mobile di Milano: the democracy which, in the fashion world, is missing. In fact, if during the fashion week you want to meet and know celebrities or VIPs you must work for fashion, because it is the only way to access to the shows and, eventually, to the post-shows party. The fashion world is to much exclusive and it is “indigestible” for 90% of the Milanese people, who are not part of this world, because the whole city is mobilized for a small and exclusive “club” and not interesting for most of the residents. The opposite happens to the furniture show in which everyone has access to all without discrimination or problems. The furniture and the house world, if we think, is for everyone; fashion, for the few people.

Volevo ringraziare di cuore tutti voi, che ogni giorno mi seguite! Pian piano il mio blog sta crescendo e si sta sviluppando in varie forme e sotto vari aspetti. Volevo infatti annunciare che dal 17 al 22 aprile MIME seguirà a distanza, da Pisa, il Salone del Mobile di Milano. Da diversi anni a questa parte, questo evento, porta lustro all’Italia. Addetti al settore e amici di famiglia che lavorano nel settore del design, mi hanno detto che andare a Milano per il Salone significa incontrare gente, personaggi, architetti famosi e tant’altro. Tutto in maniera democratica. È questo il forte del salone di Milano: la democraticità che, nel mondo della moda, manca. Infatti, se durante la fashion week si vogliono incontrare e conoscere VIP  e celebrities, o semplicemente avvicinarsi al mondo del fashion, bisogna essere addetti ai lavori (e anche molto accreditati), perchè è l’unico modo per accedere alle sfilate ed agli eventi… eventualmente, ai party post sfilata. Il fashion world punta troppo sull’esclusività diventando così” indigesto” per il 90% dei milanesi (e non solo) che non fanno parte di questo mondo! Tutta la città viene mobilitata per un piccolo ed esclusivo” club” di interessati e non per la maggior parte dei residenti. Il contrario succede al Salone del Mobile, in cui tutti hanno accesso a quasi tutto senza troppi problemi o discriminazioni. L’arredamento e la casa, a ben pensarci, è di tutti, la moda, per pochi.
