The New York fashion week is just ended, but I think it was a good week this one, because new proposes and new trends born. Many designers became cosmopolitan and they dreamt about Chinese and Asia women that live in big cities. The colours were particulary strange for this winter season: I never saw light orange shorts in a winter fashion show( Vera Wang) and I never saw so many flower prints on a small dress in a winter collection(Tory Burch).

A part from the designers inspirations, the New Yorker style improved in a positive way: everything is much elegant and wearable, for every girl, in every country of the world. The style was much serious and it could be perfect for a businnes and elegant woman that adores brands like Ralph Lauren or Oscar de la Renta. I have nothing more to declare except my satisfaction about the improvement of this city that, before, was famous because she is a metropolis, and now, will be famous for her style.

At the end of what I said, I would like to condole Zelda Kaplan’s family. Zelda, style-icon of New York, died yesterday during Joanna Mastroianni’s fashion show.

Si è appena conclusa la settimana della moda newyorkese e, per questa stagione, gli stilisti americani si sono migliorati. Molti designer si sono ispirati alla Cina e all’Asia, in preparazione dell’anno del drago. Ho trovato molto insolito l’outfit di Vera Wang che, per questa collezione, ha presentato un paio di shorts arancioni, mentre, Tory Burch, ha optato per un vestitino blu con disegni floreali estivi e colorati: molto strano da presentare durante una collezione inverna, vero?

A parte l’ispirazione avuta o meno da un designer, la moda newyorkese si è evoluta e migliorata, adatta ad ogni tipo di donna e ragazza; è mettibile e perfetta per ogni buyer, infatti, si possono trovare delle collezioni ispirate ad un pubblico più giovane, mentre, altre( Ralph Lauren o Oscar de la Renta) , ad un pubblico più adulto. Non ho altro da aggiungere se non la mia soddisfazione riguardo alla città di New York che, prima, era famosa per la sua grandezza, ora, anche per il suo stile.

Colgo comunque l’occasione per porgere le condogliaze ai familiari di Zelda Kaplan, icona dello stile newyorkese da oltre mezzo secolo, morta ieri proprio durante lo show di Joanna Mastroianni.
