Today I wanted to talk about a very special event that took place in the city of my university, Pisa. Yesterday in fact, the whole city celebrated the start of the Pisa’s New Year. It is a tradition that dates from the year 1000 BC when the Pisan Republic, like other small Italian states, had adopted their own calendar and inserted in this holidays including New Year that is celebrated on March 25. Yesterday at Pisa breathed air of joy, of celebration and happiness, everyone was waiting for the fireworks that have graced this evening of joy. All citizens and students were concentrated along the river Arno, the heart of the city, waiting for the launch of the fireworks that took place, at the sound of music, at 11.30 pm. It was really spectacular, because the echo of the music and the beautiful fireworks launched into the air, made ​​the atmosphere magical, unique. I have often wondered, why the designers have never been inspired for their collections by the fireworks? The inspiration would be fantastic…
Oggi vi volevo parlare di un evento molto particolare che si è svolto nella città dei miei studi universitari, Pisa. Ieri infatti, tutta la città ha festeggiato l’inizio del nuovo anno pisano ovvero, il Capodanno pisano. È una tradizione che risale dagli anni 1000 a.C quando la Repubblica pisana, come gli altri staterelli italiani, aveva adottato il proprio calendario ed inserito in questo le festività tra cui il Capodanno che si festeggiava il 25 marzo. Ieri a Pisa si respirava aria di gioia, di festa e di felicità, tutti erano in attesa dei fuochi d’artificio che hanno abbellito questa serata di gioia. Tutti i cittadini e gli studenti erano concentrati lungo il fiume Arno, cuore pulsante della città, in attesa del lancio dei fuochi d’artificio che si è svolto, con il sottofondo della musica, verso le 23 e 30. È stato veramente spettacolare, perchè l’eco della musica ed i bellissimi fuochi lanciati in aria, rendevano l’atmosfera magica, unica. Mi sono domandato spesso, perchè i designers non si sono mai ispirati per le loro collezioni ai fuochi d’artificio? L’ispirazione sarebbe fantastica…
